It all starts on a spooky October morning when Skeleton wakes up. He then realizes he has the hiccups. oh, what will he do? Throughout his day he tries to get rid of them. He tries holding his breath, eating sugar, and even drinking water upside down! However, those hiccups just do not wanna to go away. His friend, Ghost, tries to scare him but that does not work either. After one more try, does his hiccups go away?
The illustrations in this book begin with spooky grays and browns, thrown in are some oranges, yellows and purples to create an exciting halloween story. Skeleton is drawn artistically and the book is filled with spooky halloween objects and silly figures throughout Skeletons journey to end his hiccups.
I chose science as my content area and First grade for my level. I would incorporate this book into a lesson on a couple simple bone and of course how to get rid of an unruly case of the hiccups!
