Jack and Annie find them selves in a treehouse that sends them different places in time. In this book the treehouse sends them to a prairie where they get caught up in twisters constantly! What will they do to get out? Will they make it out alive?
The illustrations are few and far between. They are all black and white. The detail is unreal and keeps you wondering about what is about to happen.
I would use this book in Social Studies in the 3rd Grade. We would talk about the time zone the children were sent back to. then the children would be able to tell me how people lived during those days.

I love the magic tree house series. It is a great series to teach children about different times in our history.
