This cute little book is about a small fish that has unique scales. Not only does it have plain scales, it 

also has rainbow scales. not everyone is happy about them and this little fish must find a way to fit in.

Will the fish find a way?

The illustrations in this book are beautiful blues to cover the page showing the ocean and the fish are

made with curved lines and have more basic colors to make the fish look "ordinary."  the rainbow

 scales are made of shiny material that is placed over the page.

I would use this book in a first grade classroom. I would use this for a getting to know each other

 lesson. I would  be the one with the rainbow scales and give them out as the book goes on. I would let  

the kids make there own "Rainbow" book. and read aloud! This would be a cute way to let kids be  

creative  and let them get to know one another.
