Water is water, it's an ocean or lake, it's not just one thing. In this book we learn all sorts of different ways water helps us throughout our lifetime and the other creatures around us. It doesn't just help one think it help all things. Its not just in one place its everywhere. Water comes out of faucets and even the sky. What does water do for you?

The illustrations in this book are along the lines of watercolor swipes across the page. there are seas of blue that represents the water. The drawings are very precise and gleam off the page.

I would use the this book for 2nd Graders. My content area would be science. I would let the students complete a lab following the Alabama course of study science division for motion and interactions. We would have a bowl of water on the table. Each student would get the chance to drop an object into the water at different levels, to watch the different outcomes they make. We would record it, then collaborate.

  1. Thank you for sharing this book! It seems like it would be a great book for investigating how essential and purposeful water is for us in our world. I like your idea of using this in class as well!
