Better Find it Quick

Multicultural Literature

One, two, three, four mariachis are on their way to preform at a concert. The only problem is they have no clue where they are going and they may not make it there in time. They get directions from different people in town, they send them past a cactus and big trees, statues, and more. The old town is so beautiful, they find themselves stopping by a pepper stand and learning so many facts about New Mexico. But, do they make it to the concert?

The illustrations are few and far between. The pages are white and have basic pictures with small lines and curves. The texture is smooth with very swift marks. The colors are vibrant and remind me of ones you would see at fiesta!

I would use this book for Second Grade and Social Studies for my content area. When learning locations on a map, New Mexico to be exact. I would use the Additive Approach to integrate this book into a multicultural lesson on the different musics in the south of North America.
